Hubort Terms of Sale
The short version. Hubort is free for two accounts, for as long as you like, and every copy starts with 14 days of Pro that ask for nothing. To lift the limit you can subscribe, monthly or yearly, and cancel whenever you like; or buy once, which lifts it on the version you bought and every version released in the next twelve months, on your own computers, for ever. Changed your mind within 30 days of a payment? Write to us and we will refund it, no reasons needed.
These terms cover paying for Hubort. How Hubort handles your data is a separate document, the Privacy Policy, and it is the one that matters most: paying changes nothing about where your conversations live.
1. Who you are buying from
Hubort is made and published by Muhammad Faizan Raza, 385-C, Marghazar Colony, Lahore, Pakistan. You can reach us at support@hubort.app.
Payments are taken by Paddle.com Market Ltd as the merchant of record. That means Paddle is the seller for the transaction itself: they take the payment, issue the invoice, and handle sales tax and VAT in your country. Paddle’s own buyer terms apply to the payment alongside these terms, and where a refund or a chargeback is concerned, their process is the one that runs.
2. What a licence is
A licence is a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Hubort on the computers you yourself use: for as long as a subscription runs, or, bought once, for as long as you like. It comes as a key, emailed to you, that Hubort checks on your own computer.
- Free is the whole application except the Pro features below, limited to two sources. A source is one account on one AI service, however many browsers sync it. Nothing is ever deleted for being over that limit: chats already on your computer stay there, left out of search, and come back the moment that account is one of the two.
- Personal lifts the limit: every account you have syncs and is searchable.
- Pro lifts the limit and adds Ask Your Archive, Usage Insights, Related Chats and Live Sync, along with any other features the pricing page lists as Pro at the time you pay. The 14-day trial is Pro (section 6).
- Team is five Pro licences on one yearly subscription, one for each of five people. Each is a separate licence with its own private archive on its own computers: Team is five individual licences, not shared access to one archive.
Each tier can be paid for monthly, yearly or once, except Team, which is yearly. A Personal licence bought once can be upgraded to Pro for the difference in price; the upgrade keeps the licence’s twelve months of updates as they were, rather than starting new ones. A Personal subscription moves to Pro by changing its plan, and pays only the difference for what is left of the period it is in.
You may install Hubort on more than one of your own computers with one licence. Please don’t share a key with other people — your email address is written into it, and it is the only thing standing between an honest price and a worse one for everybody.
3. Subscriptions
- Billing. A subscription is charged by Paddle at the start of each period, monthly or yearly, and renews automatically at the end of it, at the price in force then, until you cancel. If the price changes, we tell you before it applies, and it applies from your next period, so you can cancel first.
- Cancelling. Whenever you like, from Manage subscription in Hubort’s Settings → Licence, which opens Paddle’s customer portal, or by writing to us. Cancelling stops the next charge. Nothing is ever charged after you cancel, and what you have already paid for runs to the end of its period.
- While it runs. Your key renews itself: once a day Hubort sends it to us for the renewed one, as the Privacy Policy describes, and nothing else about you or your computer goes with it. The key runs a few days past each period, so a renewal charged late, or a computer that was offline on the day, doesn’t interrupt anything. Every version released while it runs is covered.
- When it ends. A few days after the last period you paid for, Hubort goes back to the free version on its own: two accounts keep syncing, and you choose which, with that first choice free; the Pro features lock; and nothing is deleted. Every chat from the other accounts stays on your computer, and comes back the day you subscribe again.
4. Buying once: twelve months of updates
A licence bought once includes every Hubort version released in the twelve months after you buy. Those versions are yours permanently.
After twelve months:
- Everything you have keeps working, unchanged and unlimited. We do not reach into your computer to switch anything off, and we could not: a licence bought once never makes Hubort contact us.
- Versions released after your window are not covered. If you install one, it runs as the free version — two accounts, nothing deleted — and it tells you so before installing, so the choice is yours rather than a surprise.
- Renewing extends the window by another twelve months from the later of its end and the day you renew, and re-issues your key. It is a single payment, not a subscription, and you can renew at any time from Hubort’s Renew updates.
We say this plainly because the alternative — quietly letting an update downgrade what you paid for — is exactly the thing people are right to be angry about.
5. Refunds
Thirty days from any payment, no reasons needed. A purchase, a subscription’s first payment or any renewal of it, a renewal of updates, an upgrade: write to support@hubort.app within 30 days of that payment and we will refund it in full. You do not have to explain, and we would rather you asked than sat on software that isn’t for you.
A few honest notes. Refunding a subscription payment cancels the subscription as well, unless you ask us to keep it running, so nothing is charged again; its key then runs out on its own date. A refunded licence bought once stops being renewable, and we ask that you remove the key from your copies — we have no way to do that for you, which is a deliberate consequence of the app never phoning home about it. Refunding an upgrade returns the licence to Personal and leaves the Personal purchase itself untouched; the Personal key we send you then is the one to use. And if you bought through a marketplace rather than from us, that marketplace’s refund window applies instead; it is usually longer.
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, your statutory right to cancel a digital purchase within 14 days is not affected by anything here. Paddle handles that process as the seller of record.
6. The trial
Every copy of Hubort starts with 14 days of Pro, counted from the first account it syncs: every account syncs, and every Pro feature is open. It is free, asks for no card and no email, and ends by itself on the free version, not on a bill. Hubort tells you three days before, and on its last day, which accounts will pause, and you can choose which two keep syncing before it ends or at the end; every chat it has already collected stays on your computer, including the ones from the accounts you don’t choose. One trial per computer. Paying during the trial doesn't cut it short: whichever tier you buy, the Pro features stay open until its 14 days are up.
7. What Hubort does not promise
Hubort reads the web interfaces of AI services we do not control — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok — using your own signed-in browser session. Those services can change how they work at any time, and when they do, syncing for that service can break until Hubort is updated. We fix such breakages as quickly as we can, and that maintenance is what the updates window pays for, but we cannot promise that any particular service will keep working, and we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Please read section 9 of the Privacy Policy before buying: automated reading of those services may be inconsistent with their terms, and the consequence, if any, would fall on your account with them. That is your decision to make, and it should be made before you pay rather than after.
To the extent the law allows, Hubort is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to what you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. None of this limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights stand regardless.
8. Keeping your archive
Your conversations are in a plain SQLite database on your own computer, and Hubort can export the lot as Markdown at any time, on every tier, free included. If Hubort ever stops being maintained, or you stop paying, or we disappear entirely, your archive is still yours and still readable without us. That is not a promise we can break, because it is a consequence of where the data lives.
9. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for future purchases; the terms that apply to you are the ones published when you bought. For a subscription, a change applies from its next period after we have told you, so you can cancel before it does. If we change them we will update the date at the top of this page.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. Payment-related matters are additionally governed by Paddle’s buyer terms.
